My journey began in the early 2000s under my first artist name, rooted in Ljubljana’s burgeoning electronic scene. It was a love letter to downtempo, trip-hop, and dub / techno genres that resonated with my post-teenage grit. I layered punchy drums, smoky basslines, ghostly samples, and analog textures, drawing inspiration from artists like Massive Attack and Kruder & Dorfmeister, Tosca etc. and infusing it with a distinctly personal essence. By the late 2000s, this foundation evolved into the hypnotic rhythms of trip-hop / dub-y bled of avant-garde album releases like ‘’Hibernate 1000 miles from the earth’’, ‘’Formations’’ and other singles released on various compilations.
Later in 2020, the time of Covid 19 lockdowns, a new era of my musical evolution began with the ambient album called ''when the earth stood still'', which was a predecessor of 'Yanwe' pseudonym and the music I play these days.
Over the years, I’ve experimented with stage names for different genres, but ‘Yanoosh’, a play on my real name has always stayed with me.
Is a club music pseudonym, dedicated to blending nu-disco, house and dub electronic rhythms to create deep, body-moving music. It’s all about hypnotic basslines, funky textures, and a steady pulse that keeps people dancing. Whether producing tracks or DJing live, it aims to build an atmosphere where energy flows and the dancefloor feels alive.
The Yanwe project began as an exploration of ceremonial and meditative music traditions from diverse cultures. My focus was on blending organic elements—acoustic instruments, hand percussion, raw vocals with synthesizers and effects to create immersive, textural soundscapes. The goal was to evoke the trance-like states found in ritual music, but through a modern, hybrid lens. In a way it was a bridge on a way to music I now play without a pseudonym.

‘’Band’’ JamJamJam began as an experiment within Ljubljana’s underground scene. Collaborating with Elvis Sedić and Peter Lebar as the core members we share a space where spontaneity and collective energy matter more than fixed roles. Alongside various collaborators, we focus on improvisation, letting each moment guide us.
Our performances aren’t rehearsed; they’re raw conversations in sound, shaped by intuition and the room’s pulse. We aim to dissolve boundaries—between musician and listener, structure and chaos. Every show is a shared journey, where rhythms and melodies emerge freely, inviting audiences to step into the unknown with us.
It’s about connection, not spectacle.
